Effective April 7, 2015 a new law goes into effect that will require all vehicles in MA to turn their headlights on whenever the weather conditions require the use of windshield wipers or if visibility is reduced to 500 feet or less. If you are driving in the rain with your wipers on but your lights off you can be stopped and ticketed. What's worse is that this violation results in a surcharge that will stay on your driving record for six years.
Remember, wipers on, lights on!
